Key West Fantasy Fest

Beads, bodypainting, beer, and anything else that begins with the letter "B"!

Key West's Fantasy Fest was born in the late 70s to help with the slow Autumn season in the area. Part Halloween, Party Cove, Mardi Gras and a little Carnivale thrown in for good measure, Fantasy Fest is definitely one of the most popular events of it's kind. Nudity is apparently illegal in Key West, but one look at any of our Fantasy Fest galleries and you'll quickly see that it's not often entirely enforced! Body painting and lavish costumes that allow a hint of skin are very common, as is flashing.

There is so much going on in Key West during Fantasy Fest that you might not know which events and clubs to go to. Fortunately the organizers have made a comprehensive list of all the sanctioned events and bar nights (with a short description of what to expect) that is available on the website. There's even a Ron Jeremy-hosted "Pimp and Ho Party", so if you had any doubts about how wild things are going to get, that bit of info should put your mind at ease.

The organizers have been nice enough to offer some help via their website in finding hotels for visitors, Key West is a tourist town so there are many to choose from but keep in mind that they do fill up quick! Costs for the festival range per event, some are free while others are not. Most events are limited to legal age and over, though there are some kid-friendly things going on such as the "Pet Parade".
