Why not just do your camping inside the gates of the Ponderosa? If you arrive late Saturday night they might not even charge you for the day fee, just the camping fee which is very minor. I've been doing that the last few years...arriving early Saturday morning. They charge a fee that would be less then a motel and you also have use of the grounds for the full day...the pool, showers, even the Sat. night party.
I didn't make it this year, after 4 shows straight, but that is definitely the way I would plan my trip now.
